JMV news update

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,

People, I am no longer sick. I feel well and energized. However, my sickness left me with an exhausting amount of homework. This week, I can already predict, will be a busy one. Nonetheless, I have a positive outlook on things and a goal to look forward to...Spring Break, which happens in about one month!!!
Today, I worked in the admission office and gave a tour to some prospective students. They seemed pretty stoked on the photo dept. This past weekend, Tyler and I visited the local E. Nashville diner The Pied Piper. To say the least it was DELICIOUS!!! we ate grilled to order burgers with french fries and homemade -penne pasta- mac n cheese! SCRUMPTIOUS! Anyways, gotta get back to work now.

p.s.
A few guys and I visited the local bar/venue the in roof on Thursday night and listen to some live music that was pretty descent for a cover band. It was no our usual hang out spot though. Its more of the Vanderbilt frat/sorority kinda hangout spot ,but I am always down for experiencing something new.

Sunday

Um today was cool.
Worked from 6:30 till noon.  Tried I dream of weenie, they were closed so jean-micheal and I walked down the street to Pied Piper Eatery and it was good! Nice vibe, great food, decent price, and I mean, walking distance.  Definitely going back there soon.  Came home, worked on some homework, took a nap then woke up and went to the anchor.  It was a good night, message was good, afterwards they had some blues player in town playing and coffee.  Met some new people, had some good conversations and had a really great night.  Monday starts with work 9-3, class 5-8 then who knows? Probably more homework.

Did everyone have a good weekend?

today

has been cool. I woke up at 5 to make cinnamon rolls and do some reading. I ended up going back to bed around 7. ha. Had class, then worked, now class again. I'm working on 3 different projects for classes and all are pretty fun. Computer Studio 2 we are designing labels for wine bottles. Illustration we are doing portraits of roller derby girls. Dan actually brought in two of the Nashville roller girls last Friday and had them model for us, it was a fun class. And for Type 2 we are doing posters for a Shakespeare play. Once all of these are finished I'll post them. Along with some other work that I've done this semester.

Thanks and keep checking back,

Tyler

Sickness @ 1620

Dear readers,

Remember that time when Julian walked into my room as I laid on my bed sick? Well, since then not much has changed for the better. I went to Vanderbilt's  emergency room and this really cute nurse basically told me that I had strep throat and an ear infection.
I had so much drainage (that was not draining to to inflamation from having strep)  built up in side of my ears  that every time I moved my head it felt as if there was liquid inside of it. So as any good doctor would do, they gave me antibiotics to kill the virus, and told me to drink lots of  water. I hope to feel better soon. Feeling sick ,when the day feels so good outside and when school work just piles up is not a good thing.

Goin' back to bed,

the weather

DUDES!
Today was/is so beautiful.  I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy it. I woke up around 10 ish, went to fido's grabbed some coffee and a bagel and sat outside and read a little bit.  Called and talked to my mom and dad today, in case you were wondering, they are doing well. ha. Went and got gas, cleaned my windshield, then headed to Satco to meet up with some friends.  Ate a chicken fajita, then headed to a house show around 1 i-sh.  Show was kinda lame, a bunch of 16 year old kids giving me looks as if i wasn't suppose to be there, not too into that.  Did get to see some friends though so it wasn't all bad.  Left there and went to Centennial Park to hang out with friends, long boarded, sat around, and now I'm sitting at Ugly Mugs in East Nashville recapping what's gone on today and checking my email.  Its busy in here right now and going to get busier, there's some music tonight, for free! So if you don't have any plans, come on over and say hi to me.  Tonight we are celebrating my friend Shelby's 20th Anniversary of life.  Should be fun...

Hope everyone is having a great day!
